Exiting Legoland Windsor, we strolled across the car park to the new Adventure Golf building where we had a round included with our stay at the Woodland Lodge. I say new, I think its 1-year-old now.
It looks great in there, a nice little addition to the resort. At reception, there’s a small café (selling hot/cold drinks, a few alcoholic beverages, snacks and crisps), a small seating area and toilets. We arrived, checked in, grabbed our clubs, balls and scorecard and we’re ready to go.

Choose a Course
You have four 9-hole courses to choose from: Medieval Mayhem (Knights), Pirate Voyage (err, Pirates), Space Mission and Lego City Adventure. We’d chosen Knights. It was fairly quiet considering the park had just closed, so we sat back and didn’t have to wait long for our turn. Maximum 5 shots each to keep the queues moving on a busy day.
The first hole on each course is a double, to give you a little warm up if needed, before heading on to some crazier ones with ramps, hills, spirals, and obstacles, holes that the ball goes in and appears out of another random hole – the usual crazy golf antics, but with great Lego theming. We had Knights and Wizard minifigs along with bears and the Dragon. Elliott was off and finishing the next hole before we’d started our turn on the previous ones.

It can get a bit overwhelming in there. The noise and heat were getting to Evan a little bit, who struggles somewhat in this kind of environment, but he still had fun with the golf and seeing the novelty courses.
The last hole on each course takes your ball. Ours was topped by a giant Lego dragon which looked awesome. Not sure who won, so we’ll call it a draw. And we definitely broke the 5-shots rule a few times as Elliott gets a bit impatient and was just chasing the ball around.
A Bonus Round
We enjoyed our game on the Knights course, so whilst Jo and the kids went for a drink and a cool down (it does get quite warm in there) I went to take back the clubs. The staff member on the desk kindly offered us an extra game… for free! An extra game is usually charged at £5 per person. So, thank you very much, dear staff member! Pirates it is!

Our 2nd game was a little spoiled by kids from other families walking across the hole as we were playing, with no care that we were there, and no apology from the parents who did very little to stop them either. This didn’t really help Evan who was already struggling with everything.
Great Lego Theming
Pirates was also a fun course. Both Pirates and Knights felt very similar apart from the theming and seemed to be the quieter courses, whilst City and Space looked to have some more outlandish obstacles, crazy tracks and spinning things to contend with, so next time we come, we’ll definitely have to try these.
All in all, Legoland Adventure Golf is a brilliantly themed addition and really gives a stay at the resort something extra. Good fun, good Lego models around, plus, you get a free pop badge at the end of your game!
How much is a round of Adventure Golf?
We were staying at the Woodland Lodge, so we had a round included in our stay. Prices usually start from £10 per person (online), or £13 on the day. There’s plenty of dates, times and pricing options available on the Legoland Website so worth checking before you go.
And that was the end of our time here at Legoland Windsor. Roadtrip day #2 was coming to a close. Just a quick drive left to our next destination where we had a famous wizard to see!
